| Established in 1928, the Institute held its first classes in the Yallourn Presbyterian Church Hall. Over the years, the Institute has grown from these humble beginnings to stand at the forefront of technical and vocational education in eastern Victoria. Now, with four campuses located throughout Gippsland and a fifth metropolitan campus in Melbourne, the Institute prides itself on being a leading educational provider, responsive to the needs of the community, business and industry.
