Annual Australian Vocational Education and Training Research
Association
Conference will take place in Sydney
on Thursday and Friday April 16th and 17th 2009, with a welcome event
on

Ray Barker AVETRA Research Fellowships
You
are invited to apply for a Ray Barker AVETRA
Ambassador Award of $1500. The objective of the AVETRA ambassadors
award is to
provide opportunities for members to undertake activities that improve
their
research capacity, assist build an understanding of VET research in
their
communities or to conduct some events that build awareness and
involvement of

AVETRA
Journal Rankings
AVETRA
has undertaken a quality rating of VET and adult education journals.
This exercise was prompted by the Government's Research Quality
Framework which has now become the Excellence in Research for Australia
(ERA) Initiative. AVETRA was able to rank 22 journals whose
editors provided copies of their journals. Follow the links

OF AVETRA RELEASED MAY 2008
AVETRA's history from
1997-2007 has been recorded by
Cydde Miller. This project is one of the fellowships generously funded by Dr
Ray
Barker, a
Life Member of AVETRA.
