Learning and Teaching Performance Fund

Since 2006, the Learning and Teaching Performance Fund (LTPF) has provided around $220 million to reward universities for excellence in learning and teaching for undergraduate students.  From 2009, the LTPF will reward improvement as well as excellence in learning and teaching. Up to $74 million is available for allocation in the next funding round.

Review of the Learning and Teaching Performance Fund

The Department has carried out a review of the Learning and Teaching Performance Fund to provide information for the 2008 Review of Australian Higher Education.  

To inform the review of the LTPF, the Department wrote to the Vice-Chancellors asking them to respond to a series of questions.  The review also includes an analysis of the LTPF funding allocations and performance outcomes across the three funding rounds (2006-2008).
